The CWPS Presidency was formally handed over to the Croatian team on 19 December in Helsinki. The FI team wants to thank everybody for the good cooperation during the past 6 months and wish the HR team good luck!

The EP's LIBE-committee voted om Monday the 9th December on the provisional agreement resulting from the interinstitutional negotiations. The result was a very positive one; 47 for, 0 against and 1 abstention. The text will now be translated to all official EU languages and it will also be checked by the lawyer-linguists before the final approval in the EP and in the Council, which is foreseen to happen in April - May 2020.
On the agenda for the first meeting of the CWPS during the Finnish Presidency will be the Regulation on migration and international protection and the European statistical programme.
On the agenda for the meeting of 31st October will be the Regulation on migration and international protection.
